The artwork "Allegories of Safety" serves as a conceptual exploration that examines the interplay between personal psychological strategies for ensuring safety and broader cultural practices. As a result of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), I have consistently exceeded the necessary precautions for my personal safety, and these actions have taken on a ritualistic quality. Consequently, I have drawn inspiration from natural elements, cultural influences, and personal introspection in order to construct a sanctuary intended to provide protection from potential threats.
